It’s easy with Exchangefile

Identity Check

The first stage is to complete a simple formal identity check which is initiated by your local team estate agent. It is a legal requirement that proof of ownership is obtained and we do this directly with land registry. This also enables us to obtain the necessary official documents and on completion we issue a digital verification certificate.

Confirm Instructions

Your appointed lawyer will then write to you requiring formal confirmation of your instructions. It is important that you respond as quickly as possible providing all of the information they request.

Draft Contract

The draft contract paperwork will then be prepared, ready to send out just as soon as the buyer is found. As part of this process your lawyer will:

  • Confirm acceptance of your verified ID
  • Obtain your replies to the Seller and Property Information forms.
  • Prepare the draft contract paperwork
 

This process ensures that within 24 hours of your agent finding you a buyer your appointed lawyer is able to submit the draft contract with the usual supporting paperwork to your buyers lawyer without any unnecessary delay; putting you and your agent firmly in the driving seat.
